Backup

Backing up your data is vital. What would you do without your data? How long would it take to recreate that data, if you even can.

Data can be lost due to viruses, drive failure, theft, fire, flood, power surge, intentional erasure and accidental erasure. Most likely you will lose data due to disk failure or viruses. You need a reliable solution to make sure you can get that data back. At Med IT we can provide a solution that fits your situation.

We offer a number of choices to fit your needs and budget.

USB U3 Smart Drive

U3 is a recent technology that allows you to run programs directly from the USB drive without copying data to the computer you work on. See their site for more information.

This solution is inexpensive and allows you to easily take your data with you. Because of the size of a USB key it generally will only allow you to back up your documents and email files.

	This solution should protect you against most issues but only keeps the last copy of your data. If you delete a file, then synchronize then find out your mistake it is too late to recover it.
	It does allow you to take your documents, Email files, favourites, desktop settings from computer to computer without leaving a trace.
	You cannot create multiple versions nor can you keep entire images of your drive.

Network attached storage

This solution allows you to make complete images of all computer on the network with multiple images and backup options. An image can be restore to the computer or the image can be "mounted" and individual files retrieved. The backup drive can then be taken offsite (though it is 23 cm x 12 cm x 3 cm ) in the evening or the drive case can be kept separated from the computers and left in a utility closet. If the drive is left on site this may not protect you against fire and theft but it is convenient to not have to move it back and forth

	Supply and install one network cable (does not include running cable through walls etc.)
	supply, install and setup Acronis True image backup program.
	Customer is responsible for monitoring backups.
