 How do I recover deleted file(s) and folder(s)? To recover data from a drive containing deleted file(s) or folder(s), follow these steps: 1. Click the 'Select Physical Disk' button on the Icon Toolbar. 2. A dialog box appears listing the physical disk(s) available. 3. Select the physical disk that contains the deleted file(s) or folder(s). 4. Another dialog box pops up, select 'Use Partition Table Information' option. 5. Select the logical drive containing deleted file(s) or folder(s) from the list. 6. Phoenix would scan the selected logical drive for all the deleted file(s) or folder(s) and would present the list of found file(s) or folder(s). 7. Select option 'Recover Deleted' or select the deleted file(s) and folder(s) and select the option 'Recover Selected'.
Note : If after a normal scan you are not able to get the desired results, go to tools menu and select the option 'Search Lost File(s) and Folder(s)'.
Caution : Never save the data to the partition or drive from where you are recovering data, as it may result in overwriting of data, and would result in permanent data loss!!!

How do I recover missing / lost logical drives? To recover data from a Drive containing lost or missing partition, follow these steps: 1. Click the 'Select Physical Disk' button on the Icon Toolbar. 2. A dialog box appears listing the physical disk(s) available. 3. Select the physical disk that contains the corrupt or missing logical drive. 4. Another dialog box pops up, select 'Search for Logical Drives' option. 5. Select option 'Standard Search' to locate the lost/missing partitions. 6. Phoenix would scan the hard disk for all the lost partitions and would present the list of found partitions. 7. Select the corrupt or missing logical drive from the list. 8. Phoenix analyses the drive data structures and file system attributes and displays the directory tree. 9. Select the option 'Recover All' or select the file(s) and folder(s) which you feel are important and select the option 'Recover Selected'
Note : If no lost/missing logical drives are found using standard search then software automatically jumps to Advance Search and starts searching for logical drives. It may also occur that YOUR lost/missing logical drives are not listed in the search results displayed after standard search. You are advised to choose the option Advance Search and start search for logical drives.  How do I recover formatted logical drives? To recover formatted drives please follow this procedure: How do I recover lost file(s) and folder(s)? To recover data from a Drive containing lost file(s) or folder(s), follow these steps:  | Click the 'Select Physical Disk' button on the Icon Toolbar. |  | A dialog box appears listing the physical disk available. Select the physical disk that contains the missing file(s) or folder(s). |  | Another dialog box pops up, select 'Use Partition Table' Information option. |  | Select the logical drive containing missing file(s) or folder(s) from the list |  | Phoenix analyses the drive data structures and file system attributes and displays the directory tree. |  | Some data structures may be critically damaged. It is HIGHLY recommended that you should use 'search for lost file(s) and folder(s)' option under 'Tools' menu to recover all the files and folders lost (This process may take some time). |  | Then select the file(s) and folder(s) you wish to recover and choose option 'Recover Selected' from toolbar.

If the recovered files are not working properly then follow the steps below: · Select 'Change Linking Mode' option and further change the linking mode to Contiguous. · Then select the file(s) and folder(s) you wish to recover and choose option 'Recover Selected' from toolbar.
Caution : Never save the data to the partition or drive from where you are recovering data, as it may result in overwriting of data, and would result in permanent data loss!!!  How do I recover re-partitioned drive(s)? To recover data from a Re-partitioned drives, follow these steps:  | Click the 'Select Physical Disk' button on the Icon Toolbar. |  | A dialog box appears listing the physical disk available. |  | Select the physical disk that contains the corrupt or missing logical drive. |  | Another dialog box pops up, select 'Search for Logical Drives' option. |  | Select option 'Advanced Search' to locate the lost/missing partitions. |  | Phoenix would scan the hard disk for all the lost partitions and would present the list of found partitions. |  | Ignore all the known or existing partitions and select the older partitions. |  | Phoenix analyses the drive data structures and file system attributes and displays the directory tree. |  | Select the option 'Recover All' or select the file(s) and folder(s) which you feel are important and select the option 'Recover Selected'. |  | It is HIGHLY recommended that you should use 'search lost file(s) and folder(s) option to locate file(s) and folder(s). |  | Then select the file(s) and folder(s) you wish to recover and choose option 'Recover Selected' from toolbar.
